My Italian garden:
After visiting the Butchart Gardens, I wanted my own Italian garden. I decided to base it on the idea of formal plantings, so I emptied out four old pots and planted basil in them. Three of them are arranged somewhat formally; the fourth was too heavy for me to lift out of the garden.
But it’s already Monday, and I’m late for my Gratitude Journal.
Today, I’m immensely thankful that my daughter had a wonderful time in Greece and made it home safely. It’s been nice to see her.
I’m thankful that my book is getting closer to completion–thankful and excited!
I’m thankful for my book club’s Poetry In The Garden at The Lakes, an annual event hosted by my friend Angela in her wonderful backyard. The poetry inspires me and so does the garden. I should get to work.
Finally, I’m thankful for my all my family and all my friends and this scrap of sun we get today.
Open the door. Open my heart.
