Poem prompt for April 26: It’s about time

Time warp! Yesterday, I thought it was still the 24th. I think I’m caught up now. Barely.

Today’s prompt gets at one of my top pet peeves: Abstractions. Sure, they’re useful, but they can so easily be overused. Let’s let go of them!

For today, write a poem about time, but don’t use the word “time” or any other abstract ideas. Stick with the things, or the metaphors, you can see, hear, smell, taste, or touch.

*** Poem fom day 26 (up about a day–and then “poof”, it will be gone) ***

poof

(I’m not sure this poem worked for the prompt, but I tried to write about the dead heron.)
