Day 23 poetry prompt: Current events

Sometimes, it’s easier to tell someone else’s story.

Choose a story from today’s news and write a poem about it.

I confess that I don’t read the morning paper. I get headlines in my inbox from The New York Times, and if the summary looks really interesting, I’ll click. But I’ve never managed to fit in the morning stories on newsprint the way my husband does every morning. Today, I guess I’ll need to make an exception.

*** Poem fom day 23 (up about a day–and then “poof”, it will be gone) ***

(This poem was about three of the children who have disappeared from their homes in the past six months.)
