All family, all the time this week. At least, the first three days. And it was a lot of fun (and a lot of work) and some crazy rowdy. I’m thankful for the chance to spend Christmas Eve with my mom and dad, my sister and sister-in-law, and all three kids. Yay! And the rolls turned out.
I’m thankful for brunch at our son’s house on Christmas morning (a fantastic spread for 17 people), and I’m thankful we were able to host Tom’s family at Christmas dinner. Much laughter.
I’m thankful for a lot of writing time this week (including now). Time for revision, time for doubts and anxieties, time for more revision. Repeat.
The sun’s showed up, some blue in the sky, and left my sofa to meet up with poets and friends of poets in Fremont. And it was still light out at 4:30!
I’m thankful for each day. I just need to remember that each day.
Open the door. Open my heart.
