Poem prompt 14: Superimposed

Today’s prompt builds on writing from day 5.

Think of the experience in you wrote about in Large to small. Now imagine an incident that is not your own experience, but happens in the location of your event. It could even happen to one of the people from your event.

(If, like me, you started with a new event on day 10, use the new event, or refer to both. You make the rules!)

Write a poem that superimposes these two experiences–like dueling realities that merge to become a new experience, a new history.

This prompt is adapted from “A Little Nightmusic” in The Practice of Poetry.
