Sunday gratitude: briefly but heartfelt

Last Sunday I took a picture of these tulips, and what a difference a week makes. Here’s today’s bloom update.

This past week, I’ve been thankful for:

Poetry month, and an imersive focus on writing poetry.

The reading at The Station Bistro–good weather for the drive down, not getting lost, good fellowship and good poems. Thankful for the people who host these reading series and give all of us these opportunities.

Scraps of sleep.

Late Easter dinner at my Mom’s, with the family together. And then a reasonably dry and mellow drive up to Bellingham and back.

Now I need to finish my poem!

Open the door. Open my heart.
