Gratitude journal, the post-Thanksgiving edition

I’m thankful for my family and thankful for Thanksgiving. My favorite holiday, because it’s about appreciating what we have and who we have in our lives.

I’m thankful for another letter from my kid.

I’m thankful for a warm house and windows to watch the stormy weather.

I’m thankful for getting ideas–for poems, for the novel. And I’m really thankful for the big ideas people get. Today I found the CNN top 10 inventions list. My two favorites: A light that’s powered by gravity and a soccer ball that converts kinetic energy. (Back when I rode my bike to work, I used to wish I had a battery that I could charge on my bike and use to power my laptop.)

I’m thankful for getting over my head cold.

I’m thankful I have plenty to do–and I’m thankful for my husband’s reminders not to stress out.

Thankful for Open Books, and for their special Small Business Saturday event. I had so much fun.

I’m thankful for the people who have been so generous with their time and experience, meeting with me and offering me guidance. And I’m thankful for all the people who have accepted my invitations on LinkedIn. Thank you.

I’m thankful for the inimitable Book Club Ladies, and a lovely post-Thanksgiving brunch.

Thank you for sharing this gratitude with me.

Open the door. Open my heart.

Now it’s time to chop some rosemary.
