April 13 prompt: Wish I was there, part two

Write a letter to a place you’ve never been to, but have always wanted to visit—or move to, permanently.

Why do you want to go there? Why haven’t you?

Can you narrow your focus on one specific thing? Can you zoom out? Can you write it without comparisons? Can you write it without editorializing, without putting yourself in the poem?

How is it in present tense (as though you’re already there) or using “If” or “When” (it might be harder to keep yourself out of the poem).
